Recipient of the prestigious Arts Council NI Artist Career Enhancement Award 2016, Co. Down singer-songwriter Brigid O’Neill travelled to Nashville Tennessee, where she played the iconic Bluebird Cafe, Music City Roots Show, and wrote and performed with Grammy Award-winning songwriters.  Whilst a singer all her life, Brigid’s star has been steadily in the ascent as a songwriter, since the release of her critically acclaimed EP debut of original songs ‘Arrivals and Departures’, followed quickly by her single “Don’t Make Me Go to Town’ - “adventurous and touchingly beautiful’ Pure M Magazine.  “The lyrics are short, sharp and clever” Folk and Tumble.

With her beautiful voice and evident talent as a strong and powerful songwriter, she blends great country blues with folk and a delicious dash of jazz. Insightful, sharp lyrics unearth and explore life’s lessons and together with her memorable melodies, the songs connect immediately and make you want to go back and listen again.

Brigid has just released her new album Touchstone (14th September 2017) with the acclaimed singer-songwriter and producer Gareth Dunlop to a packed house in the Black Box Belfast and excellent reviews
